HURON CIVIC THEATRE SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Requirements for the Port Huron Civic Theatre Scholarship for the
Performing Arts
The Port Huron Civic Theatre will award one of two $500.00
Scholarships each year for secondary education to any person who
fulfills the requirements of the scholarship and is chosen by the
Scholarship Committee with approval by the PHCT Board of Directors

The applicant must be majoring in Performing Arts
·
The individual will submit an essay to the PHCT Scholarship
Committee (see address below) by a Word Document using email or by
USPS mail by April 1st of the reward year. This essay should
describe how participation in the Performing Arts has positively
affected the applicant’s life, and be a minimum of 500 words and no
more than 750.

Accompanying the essay should be a cover sheet listing the name,
address, telephone, and email address of the applicant and the name
and address of the school they will be attending, and a copy of
letter of acceptance

The applicant will submit a letter of recommendation from two school
faculty members one of which is involved in the Performing Arts.
(i.e. Band, Dance, Choir or Drama)

current transcript, including current curriculum and GPA
·
The
decision of PHCT Board of Directors will be final.
